Registration Information
Our cheerleading program is open to athletes residing in
Westwood & Twp. of Washington
entering 2nd through 8th grades in September 2026.
Registration will be in person so that we can size the cheerleader for a uniform.
Registration will be held at Westwood Community Center, 55 Jefferson Ave. from 6:30-8:30 pm.
2nd, 3rd & 4th grade cheerleaders will register on Thursday May 7th.
5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grade cheerleaders will register on Tuesday May 12th.
We will have a registration on Thursday May 14th for all grade levels for any available spots.
Registration is $175.00 for 2nd grade and $200.00 for 3rd through 8th grade.
There is an additional $25.00 fee for non-Westwood residents.
Due to safety concerns, we are once again limiting the number of cheerleaders on every level. We will have a waiting list option.
No refunds after June 15th.
2nd grade Mighty Mite level is limited to 10 cheerleaders from Westwood and 10 cheerleaders from Twp. of Washington for a total of 20.
3rd & 4th grade Pee/Wee level will have a total of 30 spots.
5th & 6th grade Junior level and the 7th & 8th grade Senior level will have 35 spots each.
If there is a larger number of interested athletes we reserve the right to split the squad and have the athletes cheer at alternating games.
Choreography practice will start August 10th and is mandatory to be included in the halftime routine.
The cheer season runs from early August to mid-November.
The squads will practice 3 nights a week (Monday, Wednesday & Friday)
Games are played on Saturday and/or Sunday starting in September.

Cardinal Cheerleading is part of the Bergen County Junior Football League (BCJFL) which includes Cresskill, Garfield, Glen Ridge, Hillsdale, Montville, New Milford, Northern Valley/Old Tappan, Norwood, Park Ridge, River Vale, Tenafly, Waldwick & Westwood.
